2005

Picdar launches new versions of its workflow products including new Creative Suite plugins and Quark XTensions for both Mac OSX and PC NT platforms.

EMAP, IPC and Conde Nast are added to the growing list of magazine groups adopting Media Mogul

2004

Picdar launches Media Mogul jSuite enterprise solution, engineered for J2EE

Picdar implements its DAM solutions for magazine groups including Mortons of Horncastle and Dennis Publishing

Art Group implements Media Mogul to support the marketing and production of its prints and cards.

2003

Top Euro IT analyst, Butler Group, say Picdar’s Media Mogul is an “ideal” enterprise content management solution, adding that Media Mogul is a well kept secret in the media world.

Implementation of a Brand Management system for Standard Life, a first for the financial services industry.

The Sport takes Picdar to 85% of the national newspaper market.

Introduction of integrated workflow suites featuring Quark Xpress and Adobe InDesign.

2002

Appointment of Bharat Shah, former VP of Eastman Kodak, to develop expansion strategy.

2001

Launch of new product suites:

  • - Picdar E-Loader

2000

- Installation in travel market - Tui (previously Thomson Travel)
- Launch of Media Mogul Digital Asset Management product suite

1999

Delivery of asset management hosted solutions offering benefits of:

  • - system trialling prior to capital investment
  • - web based asset management delivery without capital outlay
  • - outsourcing web service (eg syndication) whilst maintaining focus on core business.
  • - Installation of AMMOS browser system at BBC Worldwide

1998

Development and launch of AMMOS multi asset software linking assets together to provide full user history

1998

G8 summit - collaboration with the Foreign Office and NewsTeam International to host website and technology to deliver interactive access to up-to-the-minute images of the summit

1996

Debut of WWW web-based software, at Olympic games, for immediate delivery of images from Atlanta to Worldwide audience via existing FastFoto library

1995

First news agency installation - NewsTeam International

First FastFoto Picture Desk installation at The Telegraph, to complement full archive system - the driving decision was the anticipation of a two year pay back on chemicals and consumables alone

1994

World’s first regional newspaper installation at the Shropshire Star after a three month trial period

1993

First system installation within the national newspaper market with the contract for Mirror Group’s electronic library, linking to the editorial sites at Canary Wharf and Glasgow

1986

Installation of FastFoto digital image library for finger prints and mug shots as part of Home Office field trial - “ The benefits available through this revolutionary system are apparent to all who have seen it ...” Chief Constable, Hertfordshire Constabulary

1984

Installation of Europe’s first mass image storage system on optical disk
